Bio
I am a wellbeing coach and nature-based facilitator whose work is shaped by both lived experience and professional training. While I spent many years in senior corporate roles, my practice today is grounded in supporting people to restore balance, resilience and a sense of connection to themselves, others and the natural world.
Previously, I worked at senior levels across organisations such as Centrica and BT as well as in agencies. My background in customer insight, leadership and organisational dynamics gave me a strong understanding of workplace challenges. However, over time it became clear that success alone was not enough; I wanted to work more directly with the human experience behind cognitive and physical wellbeing. This shift now allows me to support individuals and organisations from a place of genuine empathy.
My approach is deeply informed by personal experience. I grew up in a loving but financially stretched household, with parents who experienced mental health difficulties. I began working at 16 following my father’s diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis and later took on caring responsibilities for my younger sisters after my mother died when I was 22. My wife and I have since adopted two daughters, with complex trauma, medical and educational needs. These experiences have shaped my understanding of resilience, neurodiversity and the unseen pressures many people carry.
A turning point came when I developed stress-related symptoms that conventional medicine could not resolve. Through my own research, I discovered Buteyko breathing, which had a profound impact on my wellbeing. I went on to train with Patrick McKeown, a world-leading authority in breathing science and am now a certified breath coach. This opened the door to mindfulness and nature-based practices including qualifying in Forest Bathing. I now lead sessions across London and Surrey, integrating breathwork and movement practices such as slow and reverse walking. I also run one and multi-day retreats with other wellness coaches.
To deepen my ability to support others, I trained as a Life Coach with Nina Madden, am accredited by the International Coaching Federation and hold NLP Master Practitioner qualifications. I am the author of The Forest’s Secret, a children’s story and educational book that introduces young readers to the restorative power of nature. The book reflects my belief in a complementary approach to health and wellbeing via what I call Nature’s Health Service and underpins my work with schools, NHS trusts, charities, corporates and individuals seeking compassionate wellbeing support.
