Dr Francesca Testa (BSc (Hons), MBBS, MSc) is an NHS doctor, Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr), certified health coach, and personal trainer. She is the founder of Core Health and Wellness, a women’s health hub grounded in the core pillars of wellbeing: nutrition, movement, and mindset.
Francesca is currently completing her specialist medical training in General Practice. Alongside her NHS work, she runs a women’s health nutrition clinic through Core Health and Wellness and is actively involved in research. Her academic interests focus on low energy availability and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) in women. She also has extensive experience in medical weight management, including supporting patients using GLP-1 medications, and brings over a decade of experience from the fitness industry as a personal trainer.
As a woman, doctor, nutritionist, and trainer working closely with women across their lifespan, Francesca offers a uniquely integrated understanding of women’s health. By merging medical, nutritional, and fitness expertise, she supports high-performing women seeking help with menstrual cycle loss (including functional hypothalamic amenorrhoea and REDs), cycle irregularities (such as PCOS), weight management, and cardio-metabolic health conditions including high blood pressure and pre-diabetes.
With a career spanning clinical practice, teaching, research, management consulting, and health-tech, Francesca understands the distinct wellbeing challenges faced across different industries. As a former gymnast and now a keen endurance runner, she has a deep appreciation of the physical and emotional demands of training—and the fulfilment it can bring.
Francesca is a passionate advocate for women’s health and champions a holistic, evidence-based approach rooted in balanced nutrition, sustainable movement, and mindset change.
